How to Order Tickets


There are two ways to order tickets for our productions:
  1. Order Season Subscriptions through the Tacoma Opera office by
  2. Purchase Single Tickets through the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts by
    • Calling the BCPA box office at 253-591-5894 or 1-800-291-7593
    • Buying your tickets online through the Broadway Center Website
    • Visiting the BCPA box office in person at 901 Broadway, Tacoma, WA 98402-4415

Ticket Fees & Discounts


  1. There is a $5 handling fee for Season Subscriptions ordered through the Tacoma Opera office.
  2. There are variable handling fees charged for Single Tickets ordered through the Broadway Center. Please visit the Broadway Center Website for more information on their fees.
  3. Seniors (62 and over), active military, and youth (under 18) all receive special discounts. Look for details on the Single Tickets page.
  4. Groups of 10 or more receive discounts of 10%. Call Tacoma Opera at 253-627-7789 to make arrangements.
  5. Student Rush tickets are available for full-time students with a valid student I.D. on the day of the performance. $10 per ticket – Available one hour before curtain – Limit 1 ticket per student – Subject to availability.
  6. Please note: Only one discount can be applied per ticket.

Ticket Policies


  1. All ticket sales are final.
    Tickets are non-refundable, but subscribers may exchange tickets for an alternate performance of the same opera up to 48 hours in advance for no fee, subject to availability. To make an exchange, contact the office at 253-627-7789.
  2. Miss a performance?
    Since tickets are non-refundable, we regrettably cannot issue refunds if you purchase tickets and miss a performance due to circumstances beyond our control.
  3. Lost Your Tickets?
    No problem; call our office and we will issue replacement tickets.
  4. Can’t use your tickets?
    You can return them to Tacoma Opera as a fully tax-deductible contribution, enabling us to re-sell them. Just call the office at least 12 hours in advance of the performance, and we’ll send you a receipt for your tax records.
  5. Late seating.
    Latecomers who arrive after the show has started will be seated at an appropriate time at the discretion of the Broadway Center House Management. Individuals who leave during the performance and wish to return will be seated at the next intermission.
