Since 1978, the Florence B. Kilworth Foundation has been providing generous support to the arts and human services in our region.
The Tacoma Arts Commission is a 15 member volunteer commission made up of Tacoma residents who are arts advocates and artists. Commission members are appointed by the Tacoma City Council following an application process. The Commission’s functions are outlined in Chapter 1.28A and 1.28B of the Tacoma Municipal Code. Created in 1965, the Tacoma Arts Commission is one of the oldest arts commissions in Washington State.
Owen Roe Winery supplies Tacoma Opera with all the wine for its events. The winery produces beautiful wines from various sites in the Pacific NW, where fruit ripens fully with exceptional balance.
