Chorus Auditions for the 2013/14 Season

Chorus auditions for Tacoma Opera's 2013/14 Season are tentatively scheduled to be held early June at the Urban Grace Church in downtown Tacoma (9th & Market St). Please email Maria Levy at the Tacoma Opera office at mlevy@tacomaopera.com or call 253-627-7789 for more information.

Be a Super

Have you ever wanted to be on stage? Most productions need non-singing extras called supernumeraries, who often appear in crowd scenes. This volunteer position requires several weeks of commitment, but it is also a lot of fun, and a good way to really get behind the scenes of an opera. Please contact info@tacomaopera.com if you are interested in being considered for upcoming productions.

Volunteer

Come experience the magic of working behind the scenes. There are numerous ways to get involved with Tacoma Opera. Tasks large and small are waiting.

Samples of tasks for which we often need help include:

  • office support:  prepare large mailings.
  • special events:  help facilitate our fundraising events, including our annual auction.
  • hospitality:  pick up artists at the airport or provide treats for a rehearsal.
  • production:  help out backstage, in a variety of capacities depending on skills and interests.

Want to be an Usher?

Want to usher at a performance?  The Broadway Center for the Performing Arts, which runs all three theatres in which we perform, is always looking for volunteer ushers.  For more information, go to their volunteer website by clicking here or calling the BCPA directly at 253-591-5385.
