Ticket sales pay for only a third of the cost of producing opera, and Tacoma Opera could not operate successfully without the generosity of its supporters. Annual Fund

Opera, the most exhilarating of art forms, is also the most expensive to produce; it combines highly trained singers, chorus, a full orchestra, dancers, and elaborate sets and costumes. Ticket revenues, however, cover less than one-third of the production costs.

Tax-deductible Annual Fund contributions support our Education Programs, including Student Night at the Opera, which sees our theaters packed with students enjoying their annual opera performance. They also support our productions that range from the classic to the offbeat, all at ticket prices that begin at $15, with further discounts for seniors, youth, and active military.

There are many ways you can give:

  • Through a one-time annual donation
  • Monthly: your gift can be broken down into monthly installments which we can charge directly to your credit card, making it possible for you to have a large impact on the Opera without having a large impact on your monthly finances.
  • Multi-year pledge: making a multi-year commitment to Tacoma Opera helps us plan future seasons, knowing we can count on your support. And you will only hear from us once a year, to remind you of your annual pledge.
