How to Order Tickets

Single tickets may be ordered on-line from the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts.


An Important Word on Ticketing Fees

There are two places through which you can buy tickets for our productions - the Tacoma Opera offices and the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts

The most convenient and least expensive way to get tickets for our productions is to purchase them through the Tacoma Opera offices via phone.  For this service, there is a fee of $2.50 per ticket, to a maximum of $20 per order.

The Broadway Center for the Performing Arts, which manages the theatres in which we perform, also issues Tacoma Opera's tickets.  They charge different handling fees on top of the ticket price, depending on how the tickets are ordered. 

1.  If you go in person to the BCPA Box Office at 901 Broadway in Tacoma, there is a fee of $2.25 per ticket.

2.  If you purchase online through the BCPA, there is a variable fee of $4.00-$8.25 per ticket.

3.  If you purchase through the BCPA by calling their box office (253-591-5894), there is a fee of $5.25 per ticket.


Ticket Discounts

Seniors (62 and over), active military, and youth (under 18) all receive special rates.  Look for details on the single ticket pages.

Groups of 10 or more receive discounts of 10%.  Call Tacoma Opera at 253-627-7789 to make arrangements.  

Student Rush tickets are available for full-time students on the day of the performance, two hours before curtain.  $10 per ticket with valid student I.D. - Limit 1 ticket per student - Subject to availability.

Please note: Only one discount can be applied per ticket.


Ticket Policies

All sales are final.  No refunds or credits will be issued.

Tickets are non-refundable, but subscribers may exchange tickets for an alternate performance of the same opera up to 48 hours in advance for no fee, subject to availability. Non-subscribers may exchange tickets up to 72 hours in advance for a fee of $5 per ticket, subject to availability.  To make an exchange, contact the office at 253-627-7789. 

Lost Your Tickets?
No problem; call our office and we will issue replacement tickets.

No late seating.
Please note carefully the times of the performances.  There is no late seating at Tacoma Opera performances; latecomers will not be allowed in the auditorium after the music has begun.  Latecomers and those who leave during the performance will be seated at the next intermission.

Can't use your tickets?
You can return them to Tacoma Opera as a fully tax-deductible contribution, enabling us to re-sell them.  Just call the office at least 12 hours in advance of the performance, and we'll send you a receipt for your tax records.
