Student Night at the Opera

Bring your school group to an opera for a real-time opera experience that is anything but virtual

Student Night at the Opera is the final dress rehearsal of our major productions, a chance for school groups from Tacoma and the greater Puget Sound area to attend a fully-staged performance.

The Student Nights for the 2013/14 Season are:

The Pirates of Penzance
by Gilbert & Sullivan
Wednesday, October 23 at 7pm ~ Rialto Theater

The Barber of Seville
by Gioachino Rossini
Wednesday, February 5 at 7pm ~ Rialto Theater

Madama Butterfly
by Giacomo Puccini
Wednesday, April 9 at 7pm ~ Pantages Theater

Tickets are $5 per student and $7 per adult chaperone. All tickets are sold in advance; no tickets are available at the door. There are no refunds or exchanges.

These performances are open only to school groups and must be booked by a faculty member. A reasonable number of adult chaperones (about one chaperone for every ten students) is permitted.

Can’t bring a school group to Student Night, but have individual students who want to see an opera? Tell your students about our Student Rush program! Full-time students can purchase tickets to the public performances for only $10, by showing their student ID at the box office beginning one hour before curtain, subject to availability.
