The Tacoma Opera Artist Fund

A fund to help Tacoma Opera Artists during the Coronavirus pandemic

Dear Friends of Tacoma Opera,

We’re all feeling the negative impact right now of the coronavirus pandemic, but it’s the artists, musicians and production personnel who are bearing the brunt of the current crisis in the Arts.

They are the ones who are hurting the most because they have no work and no income, so please help them out by donating to the Tacoma Opera Artist Fund. All donations to the fund received between now and May 31 will be shared with the artists, musicians and production personnel of Iolanthe, the production we had to cancel because of the pandemic. Our goal is to raise $20,000 by May 31 so we can give everyone in Iolanthe a little something that will help tide them over until the theaters are full again in the Fall.

Let’s show the people that work so hard for so little, that bring us joy, making us laugh and sometimes cry, that we care about them. Let’s make sure they know that we have not forgotten them. After the crisis is over, Tacoma Opera will be back and be better than ever; and support from patrons and opera lovers like you is an assurance for the artists, musicians and production personnel that they will be back too, that we’ll all be back together. Let’s all be positive and give a glimmer of hope.

Please give what you can to the Tacoma Opera Artist Fund.

Annual Appeal

Tax-deductible Annual Appeal contributions support our productions. They also support our Young Artists Program and our Education Programs, including Student Night at the Opera, which sees our theaters packed with middle school and high school students enjoying their annual opera performance.

There are many ways you can give:

  • Through a one-time annual donation
  • Monthly: your gift can be broken down into monthly installments which we can charge directly to your credit card, making it possible for you to have a large impact on the Opera without having a large impact on your monthly finances.
  • Multi-year pledge: making a multi-year commitment to Tacoma Opera helps us plan future seasons, knowing we can count on your support. And you will only hear from us once a year, to remind you of your annual pledge.

Corporate Sponsorships

Our corporate partners help us enhance the community in which we all live, while at the same time receiving various levels of recognition, including the chance to entertain clients or reward employees at our performances.
