Intermezzo!

Tacoma Opera’s new Artist Performance Series
featuring some of Tacoma Opera’s favorite artists in special performances that highlight the rich world of vocal music from around the world.

Last Spring, Tacoma Opera presented a special performance of great Russian music, which we called Intermezzo! It was a performance that featured the world renowned Rimsky-Korsakov String Quartet along with two of Tacoma Opera’s favorite vocal artists, Karen Early Evans and Michael Drumheller and was served up with delicious hors d’oeuvres and fine wine! The evening was a huge success, so we decided to turn Intermezzo! into a regular part of our season featuring our wonderful Tacoma Opera artists singing and playing some of their favorite music from around the world. This season, our first Intermezzo! will be held in January and our second one will take place in mid March. The music is first class, the performances are short, the atmosphere is relaxed and the food and beverages are delicious. It’s a great way to spend a pleasant evening with friends listening to our wonderful Tacoma Opera artists strut their musical stuff.
